Unpredictable Temperatures

Maybe your fridge is not cold enough. Or the complete opposite could be true: your refrigerator freezes everything inside. 

A refrigerator that freezes food could be caused by a faulty door seal or a defective thermostat. A malfunctioning thermostat will not keep your fridge at the appropriate temperature. And a door that is not properly sealed can let warm air in your appliance, creating frost on interior walls.

If the fridge just isn’t reaching cool enough temps, the compressor or condenser coil could be to blame. While a faulty compressor may need to be replaced, condenser coils often just need to be cleaned thoroughly to function optimally again. 

Refrigerator is Leaking

Water leaking from a GE refrigerator can usually be traced back to malfunctions with the water inlet valve, ice maker, or door seal. The issue could also involve either a clogged water line or defrost drain. 

Water lines and defrost drains with blockages can be thawed or cleaned to get them working again. Water inlet valves, ice makers, or door seals, however, require a bit more examination and may need replacement or repair.

GE Washer & Dryer Repair

Controls Don’t Work

Does Not Spin or Agitate

A washer that won’t spin and/or agitate likely has a defective drive belt, motor, or transmission. 

The specific costs for replacing these parts depend on your model, but in general, a faulty transmission is the most serious problem out of the three. It bears the biggest responsibility for initiating your machine’s spinning or agitating feature. Without it, your machine is inoperable.

Water Won’t Drain

Machine is Noisy
